The Hypersax is a sensor system commissioned to afford a saxophonist additional degrees of freedom while playing. The system attaches to a saxophone, providing three axis of gestural sensing (via an accelerometer), at least three force sensors which can be placed on specific keys (or elsewhere on the body), and two pushbuttons for additional parameter control and triggering.
